Professor Ramzi Salamé

Ramzi Salamé holds the position of Delegate of the Rector of Saint-Joseph University (Beirut) for Quality Assurance, and is the Chair holder of the Chair on the Management of Road Safety and the Director of the Master in the Management of Road Safety, established by Renault Foundation and Saint-Joseph University. Dr. Salamé is a graduate from the Lebanese University and the University of Montreal from which he received his doctorate in psychological foundations of education, with special focus on motivation and school climate. He held various university positions in Lebanon and Canada ending with the rank of full professor. He worked for UNESCO as senior specialist of higher education and the training of educational personnel, and regional advisor for the reform of educational systems. He undertook consultancy missions to most of the Arab States, organized most of the Ministerial conferences dealing with education called for by UNESCO in the Arab Region between 1994 and 2008, and acted as Director of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States (Beirut) and UNESCO representative to Lebanon and Syria. He has numerous published papers on various issues in psychology, higher and general education
