After an initial 5-year period (1 year’s development and 4 years’ deployment), an estimated 100-150 students will have received road safety management training (vocational and continuing education programmes). It is expected that:
- The vast majority of these students will be employed by administrations and companies involved in road safety to work in areas related to their training;
- Recognised international and regional road safety experts will be an integral part of the USJ academic staff linked to the programme;
- The research programmes identified in the early stages of the Chair will be underway or will have come to fruition;
- Partner involvement will be recognised;
- The programme will be supported by local and regional stakeholders as well as institutional partners.
